Magic Giant Brings the Sounds of Summer to Madison Live

On February 20th, indie folk band, Magic Giant will be playing at the Madison Live in Covington, KY. This LA based trio blends together dance pop and folk instrumentation to create songs that are upbeat, extremely catchy, and possess the familiar nostalgia of a summer music festival.

Magic Giant formed in 2014 by Austin Bisnow (lead vocals, cello, synthesizer, percussion), Zambricki Li (viola, fiddle, banjo, and backing vocals), and Zang (acoustic guitar, cello, bass, percussion, and backing vocals). In 2015, the trio released their self-titled EP. NPR called the group’s song, “Let it Burn,” “a summer festival anthem” and were placed in the “Artist on the Verge” Class of 2015 by the New Music Seminar. The trio’s debut album, In the Wind, was released in 2017. Rolling Stone named the group one of the “10 New Artists You Need to Know” and that their album’s single, “Set on Fire,” is the “perfect music festival fare”. With a sound like Imagine Dragons, The Lumineers, and Walk the Moon, it is not hard to imagine that Magic Giant shows are lively dance parties. Billboard has described their live shows as “joyful” and “inspiring mass dance-alongs”.
