Kurt Vile and The Violators are making their way to Cincinnati on February 20, 2019. The group will perform at The Taft Theatre with The Sadies as the opener. Vile is touring in support of his latest release, Bottle it In, a collection of songs recorded over a three year journey as he toured across America.

Bottle it In has received positive reviews from music critics far and wide. The track “One Trick Ponies” was included by former president Barack Obama’s annual best of list for 2018. Bottle it In seems to be Vile at his essence—a rambling storyteller who pays homage to his idols like John Prine and Neil Young with a kindness and vulnerability balanced out by catchy playful guitar bits.

Opening for Kurt Vile and the Violators is the Alt-Country Rock band, The Sadies, hailing from Toronto. Their 2017 release, Northern Passages, was the first after a four year hiatus. It included Vile on the track, “It’s Easy (Like Walking).” The Sadies have been around for decades and have only continued to improve as songwriters over time. Their blend of psychedelic, western, and surf rock will surely complement Vile’s performance.
