Announcing Our Fall Fund Drive & Benefit Concert, Inhailer Radio: INspired

Poster Design: Eric Warning

When WNKU went off the air in 2017, Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and beyond lost a valuable resource for both local and national independent music. In the wake of the beloved station tuning down and dropping out against their and their fans will, Inhailer Radio Cincinnati was launched to fill that void.

We're an independent radio station app available for iPhone and Android as well as streaming online at www.inhailer.com. You can tune in every weekday from 7 AM - 7 PM for our mix of free-form and standard format DJ's spinning what's new & fresh, as well as classic indie hits from the 70's to today, with a focus on modern music and music discovery. As Music Director Nils says every set: "I'm here to help you find your new favorite songs". On top of that, you can enjoy weekend and late-night speciality programming such as 'Soul Step Radio' from Soul Step Records' Melvin Dillon on Monday evenings from 7-9 PM, 'United Waves' with Michael Gibboney and Yusef Quotah playing music from all over the world Sunday evenings from 7-9 PM, Feminine FM, an all female and femme-identifying set from Moonbeau's Claire Muechen, 'Folkin' Around' with Morgan Earley exploring the region's rich folk scene as well as folk from all around the world to name a few. We've grown into a key player in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky music space providing support for independent touring and local musicians as well as a place of discovery and community for music fans. Nearly two years since the initial launch, Inhailer Radio has announced their first annual Fall Fund Drive, titled Inhailer Radio: INspired 2019.

The Fall Fund Drive officially kicks off Saturday September 7th at Fountain Square with a performance by listener favorite indie pop band The Greeting Committee with opening act Cincinnati indie rockers Sylmar. The fund drive will last through September and October culminating in a huge benefit concert on Friday October 25th in Newport, KY at Southgate House Revival. The concert, also titled “Inhailer Radio: INSpired” will feature 21 local bands on three stages, utilizing the Southgate House Revival’s unique ability to host multi-stage events. The idea behind the event is a nod to WNKU’s late Halloween themed “Catfish Ball” costume party and fundraising concert which featured local bands performing as deceased musicians. With “INspired”, the bands will perform sets of half original music and half songs that inspire them. While the Catfish Ball allowed bands to perform as other popular musicians, we hope INspired will showcase both these artists original works to new audiences, as well as give their existing fans a chance to learn more about what music they are inspired by.”

The concert will feature heavy hitting well known local acts such as Automagik, Carriers, Physco, Knotts and The Grove as well as up and coming acts like Campus Rex, Greer and Kid ESP. Music starts at 5pm and the full lineup is available at www.inhailer.com/INspired.

Tickets available for purchase from TicketWeb.
