INHAILER Presents: Coastal Club, Circle It, and Kid ESP at Top Cats

Hold on to your hats, INHAILER is teaming up with Top Cats to bring you something special. INHAILER Presents: Coastal Club, Circle It, and Kid ESP on November 17.

Coastal Club is an indie rock band out of Cincinnati. The group formed in 2016 under the name Local Waves, but changed it after mistakenly being called Local Natives. The four-piece consists of Alex Hirlinger (guitar, vocals); Alex Mobley (guitar); Avery Benter (bass); and David McGuire (drums). Coastal Club released its self-titled EP in 2017. The band’s bright guitars and upbeat vocals make you feel like you’re on the beach, enjoying a cool glass of whatever, with your favorite people.

Circle It is also a local indie rock band. The five-piece consisting of Tucker Cowden, Tristen Carder, Jarett Lewis, Devon Turner, and Zach Swelbar formed in 2015. The band released its debut album, Nature and Neon, in 2017. Circle It’s sound is inspired by big name artists like Young the Giant, Kings of Leon, and Cincy-based Walk the Moon.

Kicking things off Saturday is Kid ESP. This post-punk and new wave band from Cincinnati has played with local favorites like the Yugos and Carriers. The band features Ethan Rankin (guitar/vocals); Anthony Stolz (bass); Jake Motz (guitar); and Roland De Blasio (drums). When I first listened to this band, I immediately thought of Joy Division and New Order. Kid ESP released two singles – “Morning Ritual” (2017) and “Fleeting” (2018) – with upbeat guitar melodies and strong, dark vocals, you won’t stop dancing.

So, come on down to Top Cats this Saturday for a night of great company accompanied by great tunes. Doors are at 8 p.m. and music starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. At the time of writing, there are still some VIP tickets available which will cost you $15. VIP tickets come with a handful of extra perks, including a meet and greet, a free CD and t-shirt, as well as an exclusive first look at the tracks that will ultimately be Coastal Club’s first full length album, set to release next year. If you go VIP, you’ll want to show up by 7 p.m. so you don’t miss out on the goods.
