Northside Music Festival: A Local Music Extravaganza at Northside Tavern

Get excited! It’s almost time for the Northside Music Festival! This will be the 11th iteration of the fest that was born back in 2007. Get yourself over to Northside Tavern on June 23rd for a night of music, drinks, and fun.

Now, let’s take a quick look at the lineup’s highlights:

Sons of Silverton Local hip-hop duo Sons of Silverton is first on the list. Members CITOAK and KyleDavid are from an Eastern Hills neighborhood called Silverton, hence the name. Sons of Silverton dropped their record Or Forever Hold Your Peace on May 5, 2017.

Arlo McKinley & The Lonesome Sound Folk rock band Arlo McKinley & The Lonesome Sound likes to lace its sound with soul. The band consists of Arlo McKinley, Tyler Lockard, David Faul, Zac Roe, Sylvia Mitchell, and Aaron Cordel. The band draws inspiration from artists like Neil Young, Otis Redding, and The Ramones. Arlo McKinley & The Lonesome Sound released their self-titled record back in 2014.

Water Witches Water Witches is a unique blend of rock and psych-folk. The best way to describe their sound is a marriage of Spacemen 3, Aphrodite’s Child, and the Velvet Underground. The three-piece consists of Ethan Bartman (guitar, lead vocals), Charlie Touvell (drums, vocals), and Matt Clouston (bass, vocals). The band released its first album, Feathers, back in 2015 and its second record, Halcyon, last year.

The festival kicks off at 5:00 PM. 14 bands will rock three stages until 2:00 AM. This is a night you won’t want to miss!
