Lauren Eylise: Femme-Powered Neo-Soul at the Aronoff

Lauren Eylise may be one of the most talented up-and-coming neo-soul singer-songwriters in the country, and now you'll get the chance to see her at one of the most revered venues in Cincinnati: the Aronoff Center! Lauren is an eclectic musician and self-taught guitarist who was named the WomeninCharg3 Best R&B Artist of 2016. Her emotional and expressive acts have attracted international crowds and she's taken these intimate performances to arenas of up to 2,000 people.

Lauren's music explores the “innate feminine spirit, the return to wild woman, and the autonomous female sensuality” in the most poignant ways. "Petals," her hit single, is a testament to her womanhood, but more importantly, her personhood. Her music is intellectually stimulating, drawing the listener into a conversation about gender and life roles and relationship dynamics. It's both soothing and full of strength. Her powerful voice, organic guitar melodies, and masterful songwriting drive her music's success and can be found throughout her debut album, Life/Death/Life.

While she can often be seen solo, Lauren frequently performs with her band, the Part-Time Lovers. She's opened for acts such as Tank, Raheem Devaughn, and Linkin Bridge. For her third performance of 2018, she will take the stage before popular throwback R&B artists Lloyd, Pretty Ricky, and J Holiday. Don’t miss out on the chance to witness one of Cincinnati’s best local acts - she may not stay "local" for long!
