Cold Cave and MICHELLE are back for their fourth consecutive weeks on the A List this week! Jay Madera and Humdrum also tag along. We welcome 5 new artists!

10. "Another Businessman" - Jay Madera


Jay Madera, a Cincinnati native, returns to the A List this week with his newest release in over 3 years: "Another Businessman". The track was released on August 30.


Madera has not yet announced another album or upcoming shows, but make sure to follow his socials for the latest updates.



9. "Zero Sum" - The Smile


A funky tune meets funky visuals in "Zero Sum" by The Smile. This track is from the artist's new album, Cutouts, releasing on October 4. "Zero Sum" was released on August 28 alongside two other tracks: "Foreign Spies" and previously released "Don't Get Me Started".


Currently, the band does not have any upcoming shows scheduled, but be sure to check their "Live" website page to keep up with dates in the future!



8. "See You In The Afterlife" - Foster The People


Foster The People joins the A List with a track from their first album in 7 years! "See You In The Afterlife" is the first song listing on of Paradise State of Mind, which released on August 16. The track is groovy, upbeat and fun - exactly what we needed as an end-of-summer release.


Foster The People has 4 upcoming shows in Austin, TX before heading to Indonesia and South America.



7. "Come Alive" - Phantogram


Phantogram is back again, impressing us with their newest track, "Come Alive". It released on August 23 and is the 9th track listing off of Memory of a Day, coming out on October 18. We cannot wait to see everything that this album has to offer.


Phantogram recently paid a visit to Cincinnati at Andrew J Brady Music Center. Other upcoming dates can be found here.



6. "Oontz" - MICHELLE


MICHELLE has us captivated for their 4th week in a row with "Oontz", released on June 20. This energized, catchy track is off their new album, Songs About You Specifically, which released today. Other songs from the album that previously came out are "Mentos and Coke" and "Cathy".


MICHELLE has an extensive list of upcoming shows across the U.S., such as New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Denver, CO; and more!



5. "See Through You" - Humdrum


Humdrum has us grooving along to "See Through You" again this week, which is their first new release in over two years. The track was released on August 14, and again on September 4 with another new song, "There and Back Again". Both songs will be featured on their new album, Every Heaven, scheduled to release on October 18.


While no upcoming shows are scheduled yet, Humdrum has played quite a few times previously in their hometown of Chicago. We are hopeful they can eventually pay Cincy a visit!



4. "Siren Song" - Cold Cave


Cold Cave also returns for their fourth week in a row with "Siren Song", released on August 15. Their newest album, Passion Depression, is scheduled to release on October 15. Fate in Seven Lessons, was released in June of 2021.



3. "Just A Western" - Nilüfer Yanya


Months after her last A List appearance, Nilüfer Yanya earns spot #3 with "Just A Western", the tenth track listing from her new album, My Method Actor, released on September 13. "Just a Western" was first released as a single on September 10, alongside an edit, "Method Actor", "Mutations" and previous A List pick "Like I Say (I runaway)". Her last album, "PAINLESS", came out in December 2022.


Yanya begins her tour tomorrow with a show in Philadelphia, PA. Other shows in U.S. cities include: Chicago (Oct. 7), Nashville (Oct. 9), Atlanta (Oct. 11) and more.



2. "Glimpse" - Future Islands


Future Islands joins with a brand new single from September 4: "Glimpse". This melancholy track is staying on brand after the band's album, People Who Aren't There Anymore, released on January 26.


Future Islands has 3 upcoming shows listed on their website: Tonight (9/27) in Houston, TX; Tomorrow (9/28) in Dallas, TX; and Sunday (9/29) in New Orleans, LA.



1. "Backup Plan" - Robber Robber


Robber Robber earns spot #1 with "Backup Plan", released as a single on May 20. "Backup Plan" is the fourth track off of their new album, Wild Guess, released on July 26.


Robber Robber played a show in Columbus last night at The Summit. Their next date is in New York, NY on November 8.
