After a short hiatus, we're back, baby! The Indie 500 really took it out of us. Another week, another Top 10 countdown with The A List is here on Inhailer Radio. Curated by real humans, and created just for you.
As always, I’m Nils, spinning the best in indie every Friday from 3–7 PM EST on Inhailer Radio. You can tune in 24/7 with DJs 7 days a week. Check us out right here at inhailer.com, the Inhailer Radio App, or locally on WGUC 90.9 HD-3. Let's get into our favorites this week:
10. "DEAD" - Sudan Archives
What seems like a scary headline is anything but. Sudan Archives is more alive that ever on her brand new single DEAD. This Los Angeles-based, Cincinnati-born (!!) artist is back to follow up her 2022 album Natural Brown Prom Queen. She's leaning more into her dance pop side with an absolute banger of a track.
9. "Heart" - Multimagic
It's always amazing to see not one, but two Cincinnati acts in The A List in the same week! Multimagic have been gracing our ears with dreamy indie-pop for years now and we've been anxiously awaiting new material. They're sounding better than ever on the new single Heart and you can hear it live TONIGHT! Catch Multimagic and KNOTTS at MOTR Pub for a free show kicking off at 10 PM.
8. "Elderberry Wine" - Wednesday
MJ Lenderman recently announced that he will no longer be touring with Wednesday to focus more on his rising solo career, but that doesn't mean that we won't stop getting his amazing presence on their studio material. Wednesday are leaning more into their country side on their surprise new single Elderberry Wine.
7. "23's A Baby" - Blondshell
We've been digging Blondshell a lot in 2025. We've supported the heck out of the singles leading up to her sophomore album that came out in May and we still can't get enough of it! 23's A Baby sees Sabrina Teitelbaum exploring the time of early adulthood where you think you're supposed to already know everything, but she's right, 23 IS a baby. I still feel that was at 31 sometimes...anyone else?
6."Limelight" - Tune-Yards
It's always a good time when Tune-Yards are on. It's been a few years since their last record (2021) and we didn't realize how much we needed some new tunes from them. Their new record Better Dreaming is out now and it has some of their most fun tracks we've heard from them in years!
5. "V.I.S." - Portugal. The Man
Portugal. The Man are really tapping into something interesting with this new sound. It has this really interesting 90's grunge tinge but also is still at its heart, an unmistakable Portugal. The Man banger. This is a cut from their new fairly colaborative EP uLu Selects Vol. #2.
4. "Everything You Do" - The Happy Fits
Alright! The Happy Fits are getting our attention from the get go on this new single. They're playing and singing like their lives depend on it with this new track. It has a 80's cheese to it that really works with their indie-rock/pop sound!
3. "Spike Island" - Pulp
Is it any surprise that you're still seeing Pulp on The A List? It's like we almost can't believe that their first album in 24 years is real so we're playing it as much as possible just in case it suddenly disappears. I'm always wary when I see a band return with their first proper material in a long time but I should have never doubted Jarvis Cocker!
2. "Bloom Baby Bloom" - Wolf Alice
Just like other tracks on this week's A List, Wolf Alice are getting us grooving from the jump with this dancy piano backed radio ready hit. We've been huge fans of them for years now so we couldn't be more excited to have new material from them.
The Clearing is out 8/29 on RCA
1. "CPR" - Wet Leg
No surprises here, yet again! Wet Leg are back and we're making sure you know it. They're pulling a "Sandlot" here with this love anthem asking for a kiss via CPR. It worked for Ham, why wouldn't it work for Rhian Teasdale?
moisturizer is out 7/11 via Domino
Same time next week? Thanks for joining us for this week's A List!
