De La Soul Brought Community (and some guests.)
It’s rare to have everyone with their hands up to the music. But, you don’t say no to De La Soul. They asked everyone – including the photographers to put their hands up for a bit. One of my favorite sets of the weekend. Later in the set, they brought out Pharoahe Monch and Talib Kweli.

Bratmobile!
One of the original Riot Girrl bands. They talked about their love of Chicago. They just announced reissues of ‘Ladies, Women, and Girls’ and ‘Girls Get Busy’ albums coming out later this year. Hoping for some more shows in the future.

Playing a variety of covers and some of his own songs (Such as ‘Treat Each Other Right.’) A perfect way to close out the second night of Pitchfork.

 The Vibes
From free Iced Coffee (courtesy of Nespresso.) To the creators tent, full of vendors, and labels. I also loved the City of Austin’s area. Which also held conversations from some of the artists throughout the weekend. Small enough that you could walk from the red stage to the blue stage in 5 minutes. As well as an early end time (the headlining artists were done at 9:45pm.) Hope to return in the future.
