Americana Punk Band 500 Miles to Memphis are Headed to the Southgate House Revival

On Saturday Cincinnati’s favorite Americana Punk group, 500 Miles to Memphis, will be celebrating with a CD release show for their latest album, Blessed Be the Damned, at the Southgate House Revival. This is their first release since their 2014 album, Stand There and Bleed. Critics are already giving the record high praise for its tremendous energy and signature genre blending between punk, bluegrass, and rock.

500 Miles to Memphis began their start in Cincinnati in 2003. They have since earned the Cincinnati Entertainment Award for Best Live Act four times in the last decade, as well as multiple nominees for Best Artist of the Year and Best Album of the Year. Their live show promises raucous fusion of cow punk, bluegrass, rock, and bits of metal for good measure.

Blessed Be the Damned is available for pre-order on Bandcamp and includes an instant download of the track “Bonnie” before the January 25th full album release date.

The CD Release will be a whole house affair on Saturday night with supporting acts in the Lounge beginning at 8 p.m. with Eric Bolender. Dead Man String Band will be hosting and coordinating as MC in the Sanctuary, with Noah Smith starting off the night at 8:30 p.m. Also performing throughout the evening are The Z.G.s, Mercy Bell, Pedigo’s Magic Pilsner, Brian Minks and the Kentucky Sons, and Mutts.
